Wendy Baker –  Junior Womble, although old enough to be Uncle Bulgaria!

Several years ago I offered to be a gopher and general factotum to assist with fundraising for RDR. Prior to lockdown I helped at events (under supervision!) and like many of us, have become slightly addicted to working in our Pop up Shop as well as helping in some small part to keep the generous donations we get in some sort of order in my womble capacity

My husband prefers spread sheets to hoomans and helps with banking on occasions.

I also top up our now famous dog beds  at The Mount Vets Practice in Malton as they have kindly allowed us to sell them there.  I store a supply at my house

Covid 19 has changed how much I have been able to do as I have been self isolating as a golden oldie with some health issues and of course we are all sticking to the distancing rules too and behaving like grown ups.

Even in these strange times, my garage is available to store moderate amounts of donations for the rescue (preferably not furniture!). I also accept clean non feather unwanted duvets to be passed on for conversion to durable washable dog beds. I can be contacted via FB Messenger.

We are hoping to establish drop off points in various areas so that collection of donations becomes less arduous whilst making it easier for those donating as well.

My present task is compiling a list of willing volunteers and their contact details as well as an indication of how they would like to help.
