Rosie Stephenson, Chairman and Dog Co-ordinator

Well I guess the term “mad dog lady” probably describes me quite well as within RDR I’m responsible for the day to day care of the dogs.  If I’m not feeding, exercising, vet visiting with or talking about dogs I’m probably dreaming about them!   I think I learn something new from or about dogs every day and this week has been no exception as I’ve taken part in the first RDR outdoor ‘social distancing’ dog vaccinations and also carried out a meet and greet for one of the RDR dogs with his prospective new mum and dad while observing social distancing!

The current Corona Virus pandemic has seen us having to adopt new fundraising ideas and adapting to new routines but we’ve all pulled together and the future of RDR is looking exciting for all.

I love helping out at our fun dog shows and seeing a lot of our rehomed dogs returning with their new owners to say hello and enjoy arranging the annual auction of items and promises.  Its good fun volunteering as part of the RDR team and no matter how much or how little time people have we can always find them a job!  It’s true to say that Together Everyone Achieves More.
