Dogs Looking For Homes
Bruce
Are you an experienced dog owner?
Are you looking for an affectionate, loving and loyal dog?
Are your children grown up?
Bruce is such an affectionate and loyal dog who has lost out on his
puppy-hood and now needs a home where he will be given love and
guidance to help him catch up on the socialisation that he has
missed out on. He is about 19 months old, fully house-trained, good
with cats and other dogs. He should settle well with a confident
girl dog who can show him the ropes and put him in his place when
needed.
He is currently in a foster home with two boy dogs, one girl dog and
a cat. He is learning how to share affection, attention and toys and
is coming on a treat. He will sit and be stroked all night if you
let him and really will make a loving companion.
Comments from Foster Carers:
When Bruce came to us he was nervous and unsure of himself and as a
consequence of this he did growl at us, our neighbours and our dogs
whenever he felt under threat. We soon realised this was just a
result of his background and was not a sign of an aggressive dog -
he just needs strong and confident leadership and once he knows he
can trust you to take care of him he will do his best to please you.
After two weeks in our home he is now part of our family and barely
puts a foot wrong- he is very obedient, very affectionate, walks
well on the lead, has excellent recall when off lead and loves to
play and chase the other family dogs. Because he has lost out on his
puppyhood he does need somebody who has the time and experience to
train and develop him and in return he will steal your heart- he has
ours! We would love to keep him and if we didn't already have three
dogs he certainly would have a home with us! Please give our Brucie
a chance- he certainly deserves one.
Mitch
Poor Mitch he is such a lovely 3 year old crossbreed who doesn't
seem to have had much TLC in his life. He loved playing in Alan's
garden but didn't understand how to play with a ball and really
enjoyed the fuss and attention he was given.
Pick Mitch and you will have a loyal friend for life!
UPDATE
Lucky Mitch is now enjoying life in a foster home
where he is receiving lots of love and attention. He is fully
house-trained, good with the children but does chase the family cat
. He is nervous of meeting other dogs when out on his walks but he
is getting better Mitch loves his foster family but still longs for
a home to call his own!
Carla
If you are looking for a friendly, affectionate girl then Carla is the one for you. She is about 2 years old and is a lovely chocolate colour with white on her chest and tips of her paws. She travels well in the car, was very well behaved at the vets (for her vaccinations) and loves to play and run in the garden. A fluffy toy will send her tossing and chasing it around the garden and she will then roll with her legs in the air!! She is great fun, very affectionate and "really grows on you".
Jock
Meet Jock our two year old Lab. He is a bit shy at the moment but is settling in and beginning to make friends. He is a must for any Lab fan and at two years of age should make a great family pet.
He is longing to find a loving home with a garden to play in and lovely walks nearby.
Fifi
At 9 months old Fifi is a typical terrier cross, full of fun and very friendly. She is good with children, quick to make friends and will make a great family pet. She can't wait for your call!
Biscuit
Biscuit (aged 6 years) was found abandoned in an unoccupied house. His nails were over 2 inches long, and his coat so disgustingly matted that he had to go to the vets to be clipped under sedation.
He is a friendly little chap but he is showing the scars of his ordeal and does not like his head touched and may become possessive trying to protect his own space.
We are therefore looking for a home without other pets or childrem and would suggest that he has a puppy crate to sleep in that is his own place of safety and security. It is also an ideal place to put him to avoid any problems with visitors with children etc.
Don't let the above cautions discourage you as he is great fun, loves to climb up for a cuddle and loves to play.
Kane
Kane is a lovely placid boy, aged about 7 years. He has a heart of gold and will make somebody a loyal and loving companion. We would like him to go to a home without young children and where he will get lots of lovely walks.
