Pepper is a Patterdale x Jack Russell who will be 12yrs old in March 2021.  She has been with her current owner since she was 3 months old but due to a change in circumstance is now looking for a new forever home.  Pepper has seen the vet annually for vaccinations/healthchecks (last boosters given in November 2020 and Kennel Cough given October 2020) and has recently been spayed, wormed and had tick and flee treatment.  She is friendly, loving, likes company, and is used to regular walks.

She enjoys playing with socks or rope tug-o-war toys and retrieving a ball. Most of all she likes being patted and cuddled.  She gets on well with other small dogs on walks and at home. Pepper’s ideal home would be a quiet, calm one where someone is around most of the time.

Initial enquiries should be made to her present owner on:  07414 088741 but any rehoming would be subject to a homecheck by Ryedale Dog Rescue.

News Update January 2021

Covid Update

Following the announcement on 5th January about restrictions during the current lockdown, we are taking some steps to keep our volunteers safe and help restrict the spread of the virus. Until the restrictions ease we will not be:

  • re-homing any of the dogs in our care
  • advertising or selling any goods online
  • collecting goods for sale or accepting goods dropped off with us.

We’re still happy to receive general queries about rehoming from you. You can do this by emailing enquiries@ryedaledogrescue.com

To help keep your spirits up we will be running some fun competitions in our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/Ryedaledogrescue

Stay safe everyone, and we hope to get back to business as usual soon.

Rehoming Area

Thank you to everyone who continues to show an interest in rehoming from RDR. We’re very happy to hear from you, even though we’re not rehoming until the new year. Please note that we only rehome dogs within a 30 mile radius of Malton and Norton, and won’t be able to reconsider your application if you live outside that area. One of our  greatest strengths is that we’re a  local, volunteer-run,  charity and by limiting the area we rehome to, allows us to provide the best support for our dogs and you.

Dave The American Bulldog – Out on Trial

Due to a change in circumstances we are helping to find a loving new home for Dave a five year old American Bulldog.  He has lived with the same family from being a young puppy and is child and dog friendly.  His owner tells us he is fully vaccinated, housetrained and walks well on a loose lead.  He is very much a family pet who loves attention and cuddles.  Although Dave is still with his owner at present a homecheck by RDR would precede any rehoming/adoption.  In the first instance please make direct contact with his current owner on 07872 344793.
